Santa claus teaching surfing for orphans

About ten children from Elisama Orphanage, Denpasar, croweded Kuta beach as they joined the surfing lesson with Odysseys Surf School’s instructor, dresses in full Santa Claus outfit. Helping with the teaching was Santa’s assistants’ which are Surfer girl own team riders.

The event was not only about surfing, but also packed with lots of fun informative contents. To start the day, the kids visited Balawista Lifeguard where the lifeguard on duty, Bapak Made Sujana shared insight on safety when swimming in the sea. Following the visit, the kids then conducted a beach clean-up along the shoreline of Kuta beach, up to the place where another exiciting events waiting ; an environmental game by Surfer girl. Conducted by the CSR team of Surfer girl, the fun game was designed to inform and emphasis on the importance of waste segregation with the kids racing to place each type of garbage to its appropriate bin.

The kids and all team riders were having a blast in this half-day event, especially when it comes to dipping themselves into the waves.
Although this is the first-time surfing for most of the kids from the orphanage, they were fearless with most was able to stand on the shortbreaks of Kuta beach right after half -an-hour theory session.
